How do I manage my brand settings and ambassadors?
A: First of all, your Playak.com user account must be flagged as a Brand Manager account, and you must be logged in. Then you can use this link to get to the Brand Manager interface, from where you can add or remove Brand Ambassadors, manage your keywords for the active links and brand alerts etc.
If the link above gets you back to the main Club Playak page, it means that you're either not logged in on Playak.com, or your account is not flagged as a Brand Manager account. If this is the case, please contact Jeroen.

Will my membership have an effect on my own headlines on playak.com?
A: No. The News Watch headlines on Playak are hand-picked every day by Jeroen, with the goal to select some interesting content for Playak readers worldwide. The selection process is independent of any membership or commercial factors, although sites that support Playak may have a slight subjective advantage. There is no guarantee however for your headlines to appear in the Playak News Watch service.
The headlines in the Playak News Watch that receive the most clicks will appear in the daily Playak News Flash. This is an automatic process, so your headline appearing in the News Watch is no guarantee that it will be included in the News Flash.
An exception to those rules is made for Playak articles, because Playak can directly control the quality of those before publication. New Playak articles are automatically activated in the News Watch and will always appear in the News Flash. As a Club Playak member you can use this to your advantage by having your Ambassados write Playak articles, e.g. trip reports, event reports, spot descriptions etc (which is part of their duties as Brand Ambassadors anyway).

What happened to the old Club Playak?
A: The old Club Playak was a loose club of paddling enthusiasts from around the globe. It was established in 1999. After a couple of years, the club lost its purpose and was finally dismantled in 2007. The old club website (last updated in 2002) is still available here .
