Club Playak provides an online growth platform for the worldwide paddling industry.
Club membership means a 3-way commitment between you as an industry member, your Brand Ambassadors and Playak. The main advantage of this approach is that we can leverage our joint online growth much better than each party could do on its own or bilaterally.
Why Playak? Playak is the largest worldwide paddling community* and the only one that offers tools to measure and control the success of your growth. Playak also offers the (by far) widest range of services: Forums, Articles, Blogs, Calendar, Chat, Map, Flows, Boats Database, Social Networking, Galleries, Links Database, Videos, News Watch and more.
As a member, you can assign the following roles to Playak users of your choice:
- One Brand Manager. This is the person responsible for assigning Brand Ambassador titles to other users and watching over the online activity of your brand.
- Up to 5 Brand Ambassadors (that's the default title, but you can also use your own titles, e.g. Brand-X Rep, Agent or similar).
Brand Ambassadors get special privileges:
- Forum Labels: Forum posts by Ambassadors are labeled with the poster's title (e.g. Brand-X Ambassador), giving them a certain status in the community. This also makes it easier for other community members to recognize qualified posts.
- Brand-specific forum. The optional use of a brand-specific forum on Playak has the advantage that your forum has more than 12000 registered users right from the start.
- Moderator rights. Brand Managers and Ambassadors have moderator rights in brand-specific forums in the Playak community, as well as in the Playak chat rooms and the Wiki.
- Boats management. Ambassadors have the rights to edit all boats of their respective brands in the Playak boats database (for kayak brands only).
- In addition to those Playak privileges, we encourage Brand Managers to give additional privileges to their Ambassadors, such as special deals on gear.
In exchange for those priviliges, Brand Ambassadors have certain duties as well:
- Active Community Participation. This can be done in different ways, depending on the preferences and talents of each Ambassador: Some people like to blog, others like to discuss things, and yet others prefer to write press releases. Any mix of contributions will do, but since some sorts of content are more valuable than others, Playak uses a point system to weigh contributions (e.g. event report: 25 points; blog post: 10 points; forum post: 1 point). Each Ambassador has to earn at least 25 points per month. The brand manager gets access to details about all recent contributions.
- In addition to those duties, Brand Managers can bilaterally assign extra duties to their ambassadors, or add constraints to their Playak duties.
To summarize, all parties will profit from the 3-way commitment in Club Playak:
- Your brand profits from an increased visibility within the largest worldwide paddling community.
- The Ambassadors profit from extra priviliges and status within the community plus whichever additional privileges you grant them.
- The paddling community profits from more quality content.
